GOVERNMENT RESPONSES TO VENDOR SUBMITTED QUESTIONS
1. To which management systems standards are you requiring registration?
Government Response: Quality management systems (ISO 9001)-Integrated/Combined. Environmental management systems (ISO 14001, EMAS)-Integrated/Combined
2. Do you require the auditing of your management system to form part of a combined audit with other management system standards?
Government Response: Yes
3. If #2 is yes, please provide details of the management systems which are integrated and an outline of the structure. Fully integrated systems shall be recorded as 100% integrated. If the management systems are only partially integrated, then the level of integration should be indicated.
Government Response: The 14001 and 9001 are fully integrated. 9001 is the parent management system as 14001 relies on the required management structure of 9001 and the 9001 supporting software system (IQS; Truebox)
4. Please provide details of the main office and branches.

Government Response: The Blount Island certificates was transferred to Perry Johnson Registrars, Inc. on June 5 2017.

8. Do you have outsourced or subcontracted activities?
Government Response: Yes
9. Please provide details of outsourced or subcontracted activities.
Government Response: We are a DoD (Marine Corps) outsourced operation. We are a government-owned-contractor-operated (GOCO) activity. This is why we must maintain certifications (9001/14001) as a joint activity. Further, our principal logistics support contractor (Kellogg, Brown, and Root, Wyle) has subcontracts in place that enable product realization.
10. Does the organization have a simple structure with vertical lines of management communication and few decision makers?

11. Is the management system highly complex with numerous specific processes?
(e.g. a manufacturer where each process is critical to the end product may have many procedures and references to legislative and regulatory documentation)

11: The Marine Corps' prepositioning program consists of afloat and ashore programs that provide combatant commanders the equipment, supplies, and sustainment to support crisis and contingencies ranging from major combat to steady state operations. The current program includes the MPF which consists of two squadrons of ships each loaded to support a Marine Expeditionary Brigade; and, the Marine Corps Prepostioning Program-Norway (MCPP-N) which consists of equipment and supplies stored in six climate controlled cave complexes, and at two host-nation airfields in Norway. Blount Island Command (BICmd) executes this mission principally through a logistics support contract. This contracted civilian workforce is aboard the ships and at a CONUS industrial facility and is responsible for performing the full range and depth of logistics functions such as preventative and corrective maintenance (up to 4th echelon maintenance), equipment modifications, stock rotation, calibration, inventory management, management of support systems, supply support, asset visibility and transportation management to include in-transit visibility. The Maritime Prepositioning Ships (MPS) program requires logistics efforts to be accomplished aboard ship, in port areas around the world, and at an industrial facility that is Marine Corps Support Facility Blount Island (MCSF-BI). It is upon this home station the Marine Corps Maintenance Contractor (MCMC) performs the MPF Maintenance Cycle (MMC).

Government Response: Frequently, we are classified as a large quantity generator for Hazardous waste, and produce a small amount of biomedical waste monthly.

Government Response: No

Government Response: Yes. The installation is an island, so we are surrounded by the St John's River, along with a large saltwater lake in the middle, lake Tomroy.
