QUESTIONS AND RESPONSES

Question 1. RE 0001 – Lift Deck Bed: There is a discrepancy between the description (Lift Deck Bed) and model number (G98296 = Platform Bed). Please advise which is preferred.

Response 1. Part # needed is G85289. RFQ has been changed.

Question 2. RE 0002 – Wardrobe: Often times, the lift deck bed may have a companion solid metal and laminate wardrobe vice the ventilated wardrobe. Would you please confirm that the ventilated style is needed?

Response 2. Listed specifications are correct. Ventilated is what is required.

Question 3. RE 0001 & 0002 – Should these be the same quantity?

Response 3. No, quantity listed is correct. One wardrobe per room is needed.

Question 4. RE 0001 & 0002 – Should these be the same finishes (black and Tuscan walnut or tan)?

Response 4. Yes, both CLIN 001 and CLIN 0002 shoud be the same finishes. Black and Tuscan walnut or equal are acceptable.

Question 5. RE 0006 Fleece Blanket – What is meant by “Amendment material samples/swatches shall be forwarded at time of proposal submission”?

Response 5. Amendment is supposed to be on the above specificatation “ Berry Amendement, RFQ has been clarified.

Are we to send all fleece color options to you by Aug 7?

If Brand name provided for information is quoted then no sample is required. If equal item is quoted then a sample shall be submitted with quote.

Question 6. RE 0006 - Area Rug: Nylon is not available for rug binding. Would polyester or faux leather be preferred?

Response 6. If nylon is no longer available, Polyester can be quoted. Please indicate that in your quote.

Question 7.RE 0007 - Would you please indicate the maximum window size that will need to be accommodated?

Response 7. 40 inches x 48 inches

Question 8. Do you accept "no bid" for other line items? Unfortunately We don't have stocks of of other items but we do have the chairs and I'm planning to bid for equal brand chairs only.

Response 8. In accordance with FAR Provision 52.212-2 “Evaluation” “ The basis of the award is “Best Value” to the Government. The Government will issue a single firm fixed-price purchase order on an "all or none" basis. Therefore a quote for only one item would not be considered for award.

Question 9. Do you accept line item bids?

Response 9. Unit price and total price for each CLIN on the RFQ shall be submitted. In accordance with FAR

Provision 52.212-2 “Evaluation” “ The basis of the award is “Best Value” to the Government. The Government will issue a single firm fixed-price purchase order on an "all or none" basis. Therefore a quote that does not include descritpion and prices for all line items would not be considered for award.

(d) Comptroller General Examination of Record. The Contractor shall comply with the provisions of this paragraph

(d) if this contract was awarded using other than sealed bid, is in excess of the simplified acquisition threshold, and does not contain the clause at 52.215-2, Audit and Records--Negotiation.

(1) The Comptroller General of the United States, or an authorized representative of the Comptroller General, shall have access to and right to examine any of the Contractor's directly pertinent records involving transactions related to this contract.

(2) The Contractor shall make available at its offices at all reasonable times the records, materials, and other evidence for examination, audit, or reproduction, until 3 years after final payment under this contract or for any shorter period specified in FAR Subpart 4.7, Contractor Records Retention, of the other clauses of this contract. If this contract is completely or partially terminated, the records relating to the work terminated shall be made available for 3 years after any resulting final termination settlement. Records relating to appeals under the disputes clause or to litigation or the settlement of claims arising under or relating to this contract shall be made available until such appeals, litigation, or claims are finally resolved.

(3) As used in this clause, records include books, documents, accounting procedures and practices, and other data, regardless of type and regardless of form. This does not require the Contractor to create or maintain any record that the Contractor does not maintain in the ordinary course of business or pursuant to a provision of law.

(e) (1) Notwithstanding the requirements of the clauses in paragraphs (a), (b), (c), and (d) of this clause, the

Contractor is not required to flow down any FAR clause, other than those in this paragraph (e)(1)in a subcontract for commercial items. Unless otherwise indicated below, the extent of the flow down shall be as required by the clause—
