M6700119Q1337 Attachment 1 Upgrades to Commander’s VTC Suite in Bldg. 1, MCAS Cherry Point, NC.

Solicitation M6700119Q1337 Vendor Questions Received

Q1. In your Purchase Description you assert “The contractor shall utilize selected, enterprise level supported hardware to provide required capability must have “Gold Partner” certification to comply with DoD security standards and validate the supply chain of equipment going onto the Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN).” Purchase Description VII.c

The Cisco Gold Certification is not related as described and there are no Cisco items that we are providing. The only Cisco item is Government Furnished Equipment (GFE). Please remove this restrictive and meaningless requirement.

Response: The requirement is there in case the vendor chooses to utilize any components outside of GFE items. This includes any additional components required to interface with pre-existing GFE components.

Q2. SUBTASK 1.2 ELECTRICAL AND STRUCTURED CABLING: When referencing enclosures, I am assuming you are specifying racks for equipment. Is a rack required or use existing rack?

Response: It is up to the vendor to determine enclosure requirements. Enclosures could be anything from breaker panels, gang boxes, lockouts, cabinets, etc. The contractor can choose to utilize the pre-existing AV cabinet to lower the implementation cost. Any additional electrical must be part of your submission.

Q3. SUBTASK 1.3 DISPLAYS

a. What is part number for the existing four mounts in the present conference room?

Response: Unknown, TV’s would have to be removed in order to determine part number.

b. What is the size of the existing displays in the room?

Response: 65in on the two front displays and 60in on the two side displays.

c. If they can be repurposed for the new displays are you wanting us to do so?

Response: GFE where possible is preferred as long as it doesn’t hinder or lessen the quality of the provided solution.

Q4. SUBTASK 1.4 VIDEO

a. Where are you needing/requiring the equipment to be positioned within the room?

Response: Layout of the displays is covered in subtask 1.3. There is an AV closet located within the room where all of the equipment will reside. Cameras should be placed throughout the room to provide 100% coverage.

b. I am assuming that one computer connection is at the lectern and the other is at the head of the table. Please clarify.

Response: Yes, that is correct.

c. What are the total sources as you reference to blu-ray. Any other input/outputs then what is referenced in paragraph d?

Response: I don’t understand the question. There is a codec which will consume two source inputs, two laptops inputs, the Blu-ray could be on a DTP and toggled via the TPI at the podium. There are 4 Displays which require an output plus an output to share content to the codec. All of this is subjective to the configuration of the AV suite.

Q5. SUBTASK 1.5 VTC CAPABILITIES

a. Do you have a Touch10 with the Cisco SX80?

Response: No, All controls for the SX80 need to be completed through the two Crestron Touch panels procured under this contract.

b. What is the serial number of the SX80 so that a multi-site license can be added to your codec?

Response: Will be provide upon contract award.

c. In reference to paragraph E, I am assuming you are referring to the STIG that is dated 26May2018?

Response: Whatever the most recent version at time of award. If a newer version is released before this is awarded, then the newest version will be used.

d. Where are the other two Vaddio camera’s (one is shown in photo)?

Response: There are three cameras, which should be placed throughout the room to provide 100% coverage.

Q6. SUBTASK 1.6 CONTROL INTERFACE AND ELECTRONIC PANELS

a. Paragraph F is requesting Crestron meeting information signage. Are you using your outlook calendar for this information?

Response: If that is an option, yes; however, the panels will need to be on the Marine Corps network separate from the AV network and still maintain communication with the AV rack e.g. RS232. No additional software can be added to specifically manage the information signage on Marine Corps computers. Signage must natively be able to pull the information from an outlook calendar if you choose to go that way.

b. Do you require or do you have Crestron Fusion?

Response: We currently do not have Crestron Fusion. If the information signage needs to be on a standalone laptop, which I assume it will, then yes we will require it.

c. For the World Clock, do you need 3, 5 or 7 time zones?

Response: Five (5) time zones.

Q7. SUBTASK 1.7 CONFERENCE SPEAKER AND MICROPHONES

a. What is the actual length, width and height of the room?

Response: Main conference: 35ft length 19ft width 9ft height to drop ceiling AV room: 53.5in x 67in

b. If the new displays are larger and we can cover the existing speaker locations, would you prefer ceiling speakers?

Response: There are no speakers in the room. The Conference room speakers are currently integrated with the microphones on a DIS audio bridge system. Overhead speakers would be preferable as long as it doesn’t cause feedback on the microphones. Disregard the conference room picture provided in the PWS. That is for graphical representation purposes only. Additionally, pictures have been provided as well as a Visio diagram.

c. Is there an audio conferencing already in the room that needs to be tied into new system?

Response: There is a Polycom desktop phone which is backup for the AV system. The AV suite is the primary audio conference solution.

d. What is the make and model of the lectern and is there a grommet in place for the microphone (picture of lectern)?

Response: Yes there is a grommet and place for a microphone. I don’t know the model but have included a photo.

e. Are looking for a microphone system similar to the CG’s 2nd MAW Conference room?

Response: No, we are not looking to implement the DIS system again. Traditional desk microphones with mute and camera toggle capabilities.

Q8. SUBTASK 1.9 TRAINING: In reference to the requirement of providing training curriculum, are you requiring a book on how to?

Response: Yes, with walkthroughs and a table of contents.

OTHER QUESTIONS:

Q9. Will there be a site visit scheduled for this requirement?

Response: A site visit will not be scheduled for this requriement.

Q10. If a list of all existing equipment that is presently installed be made available?

Response: The existing equipment is irrelevant to this project a picture of the space can be obtained to provide additional clarity.

Q11. Where is the rack located in reference to the room?

Response: In the AV closet picture provided.
