QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

M00264-16-T-0001

PARTS WASHER SERVICES

Q. 1. The list of machines is for the most part quite clear. However, since the PW dimensions and heights are the only details provided, it might better serve the USMC if the capacity (in gallons) is provided for each machine, as there are a number of models where the sink dimensions are similar, but not the capacity. By providing another column with approximate machine capacity, the Marine Corps will be assured of getting bids that most closely match your requirements.

A. 1. As far as the capacity of the machines is concerned, we are leaving that up to the vendor. Since the vendor is required to provide the machines, we don't want to place any additional limitations on them. You should provide the machines that you feel will best serve the Marine Corps for this requirement.

Q. 2. The solicitation lists an equipment lease period of performance starting Nov. 1st, 2015. Is this a required date? Unfortunately, we would not be able to meet that date as our equipment is built to order, but if it is flexible we may have a lease option that could fit your requirements.

A. 2. The November 1st date is required. If we don't have the contract in place, it will cause us to have to shut down some very critical operations.
