1. Will a certification be required of the awardee (i.e. Phil Ackland certification or equivalent) A properly trained, qualified, and certified person is required to do the cleaning.

2. What is the award amount of the current contract for the basic and all options? N/A.

3. Have hood vent systems been added or deleted since the last contract award? N/A.

4. Are the systems current being cleaned to NFPA 96 standards? YES.

5. Are the systems accesses points to NFPA standards? YES.

6. Is the base fire department and/or representative onsite for inspection after each cleaning or are inspection conducted differently? A CONTRACT SURVEILLANCE REP WILL BE ASSIGNED. INSPECTION MAY OR MAY NOT TAKE DURING THE CLEANING PROCESS BUT NLT THE FOLLOWING WORK DAY.

7. In the equipment listing table, does the qyt column reference the number of hoods or the number of fans. Can a qty be provided for both hoods and fans? SEE EXCEL DOCUMENT.

8. Is it to be assumed that all hood sizes are the same? SEE EXCEL DOCUMENT.

9. Are there any systems with horizontal duct runs? If so which one(s)?CDC-YES; CONTRACTOR WILL HAVE TO VERIFY STATUS OF OTHERS AT SITE VISIT.

10. Are there any systems with side/wall mounted fans? ONE (1)FACILITY (BLDG 504)HAS A WALL-MOUNT FAN LOCATED APPROX. 12’ ABOVE GRADE.

11. Is it the expectation that fire suppression systems are inspected each time the hood system is cleaned or are they inspected on an annual and/or semiannual inspection schedule? FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM(S) ARE INSPECTED ON A SEMI-ANNUAL BASIS.

12. If multiple days are required to clean the fans for facility 149, can the equipment be left onsite? NO.
