Statement of Work USDA, ARS Administrative Office, 5883 USDA Road, Houma, LA 70360

LAWN MAINTENANCE SPECIFICATIONS:
Contractor will provide all equipment, tools and supplies required to mow, edge,trim, dig, clip, and spray, etc. Government personnel will be responsible for mulching, watering and fertilization if needed.
A. Contractor will mow 16.607 acres (723,400.92ft2) of lawn located at 5883 USDA Road as well as the area surrounding all buildings and all fenced in area up to the bayou side and along the outer section of the entrance gate and fence area for a maximum of 24 cuts, in a 12-month period. (Attached schedule for number of cuts allowed each month)
B. Edge around sidewalks, and trim around buildings, shrubbery, ditch banks, and fences at each mowing to maintain a well-kept appearance. Herbicides, selected in consultation with the Contracting Office Representative (COR), can be used around buildings, bayou banks, and designated areas. Herbicide placement will be very limited to areas not easily accessible with mowing equipment. All areas being sprayed must be approved by COR prior to spraying.
C. Prior to mowing all fallen debris, branches, etc. should be removed from lawn and placed in dumpster. Grass clippings from lawn and weeds removed from shrubbery, fences, and air handlers when deemed unsightly by the COR, should be removed, and disposed of by contractor.
D. Caution should be used when mowing and edging around the Parking Lot Area during business hours (7:30 am - 4:00 pm). It is requested that the time of mowing and edging around the parking lot area should be accomplished outside of business hours.
E. Contractor will bush-hog the western 6 acres of the property twice a month in May-Sept and once a month in Oct-April.
