Question and Answers regarding Solicitation KHC-SD-1381639
1. Size of rooms to determine how much cooling is needed. Room 1E-020 CT Scan Figure 1, rooms 1D-044 & 1D-045. How big are these areas?
a. See dimension of rooms below on drawings.
2. Exterior wall material?
a. Exterior wall is made of stucco.
3. It is hard to tell from the floor drawings, but is there exterior walls available on all rooms so we can run the refrigerant linesets and wiring to the wall-mounted air handlers? I have attached a picture showing how a standard ductless mini split AC is installed on an Exterior wall. If any of the zones do not have exterior walls it will make the project quite a bit more labor intensive.
a. Pharmacy system passes through one interior wall and one exterior wall before connecting to condenser. Interior wall have mesh wiring for security. Exterior wall have stucco walls. Heat exchanger must have be installed in ceiling grid. The plan is to install condenser outside on a concrete pad. See drawing attached.
Also, in the Statement of work in section 4.1 it states “d. Performance shall be rated per ARI Std 550/590 using HFC 134a refrigerant.” All of the current ductless mini split systems today utilize R410A refrigerant.. Is that going to be OK?
R410A is okay to use.
