About this file
This document is a single source justification for a sole source contract award to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office on behalf of the Central Arkansas Veterans Health Care System seeks training curriculum development, staff engagement, and implementation and evaluation of Veteran-centric suicide prevention training for emergency department physicians, nurses, and social workers. The estimated value of the proposed sole source award to UAMS is redacted. Specialized expertise in and experience with the relevant research protocols is cited as the unique characteristic necessitating a single source award, as the required personnel have previously collaborated on the involved CAVHCS and UAMS research. No market research was conducted due to this specialized expertise and experience with the protocols required.
