About this file
This is a Single Source Determination Justification document using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold. The document authorizes a non-competitive procurement for the Marsh Master equipment required by the Yankton Agency's Division of Natural Resources - Fire Management under the Bureau of Indian Affairs, A01 Great Plains Region.
The requirement is for a Marsh Master, specialized wildland fire and hazardous fuels reduction equipment capable of fighting fires on water or muddy uneven terrain. The equipment functions as a watercraft fire engine fully equipped with fire hose and water tanks, capable of drafting water for fire suppression and reducing vegetation to suppress wildfire threats while remaining accessible to fire and emergency responders. The single source identified is Coast Machinery, LLC (JIK3MCDNRL3), located at 10012 Umbehagen Lane, Baton Rouge, LA 70817, phone (225) 753-1323. The justification cites that Coast Machinery is the sole developer, designer, manufacturer, and authorized provider of the Marsh Master with no other authorized resellers, and the company is the only factory warranty and servicer. The anticipated delivery date is 18 months after receipt of order. The justification was published on SAM.gov at the time of award in accordance with FAR 5.201(b)(1)(i), with the J&A Control Number JA26-00102.
