SUBJECT: Interim Hazard Classification for CARTRIDGE, IMPULSE, CANOPY REMOVER, F-15, NSN 1377016488443ES, P/N 2297800-1, Log No. H19-281, Request ID 960
Reference: Interim Hazard Classification Log No. H19-281 supersedes Log No. H18-269
1. The subject item will be shipped on behalf of the Department of Defense (DoD). The subject item contains the following explosives/propellants: percussion primer, black powder, HES 5808.29, HES 8028.23 and HES 8028.26.
This interim hazard classification (IHC) is valid for one year and will expire on 16-DEC-2020.
2. The IHC for the subject item is as follows.
DOD Hazard Class/Division/SCG/SG: 1.4C DOT Proper Shipping Name: CARTRIDGES, POWER DEVICE UN Serial Number: UN0276 DOT Label: EXPLOSIVES 1.4C Net Explosive Weight/Item: 0.030320 lbs (0.013753 kg)
Packaging must be in accordance with 49 CFR 173.62, Packing Instruction 134, dated 1-Oct-2019.
3. This interim hazard classification is issued in accordance with T.O. 11A-1-47, as authorized by reference DOT Special Permit (SP) 15448. This interim hazard classification is valid for one year from the date of this letter. A copy of this letter and the Special Permit must be carried aboard each conveyance transporting the subject item. A copy of SP 15448 can be found at:

4. This IHC does not relieve the shipper from complying with all other hazardous material requirements of 49 CFR.
