The robots’ reach shall be such that the booths’ usable space can be maximized by placing multiple assets in the booths for each spray sessionEXCEEDS
The paint distribution system and the booth sub-systems shall be controlled by a single Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley programmable logic controller (PLC) (Logix 5000 family) or equivalent
The robot controller shall not be located in the booth.
The contractor shall provide a digital video recorder (DVR) for recording video of the process. The system shall store two (2) or more weeks of video. This video shall be time stamped for comparison to key strokes and in-process testing.
Tips, Nozzles, Hoses, Fittings and other required accessories required to robotically coat with Chemical Agent Resistant Coating (CARC)
The distribution system shall facilitate automatic cleaning and purging of the lines and gun(s).
There shall be a waste drum supplied in the booth. (one per robot) This drum shall have a spray catching adapter and automatic valve. During a cleaning cycle the robot shall place the gun in the adapter, the valve shall open, and the waste paint and solvent shall be purged from the lines/gun and captured in the drum.
The Contractor shall provide all Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) software and equipment, Data packages for replacement parts that are apart of system.

The communication protocol used for communication between the robot, PLC, HMI, and any remote I/O shall be Ethernet/IP
The Government shall be provided and shall own the PLC and HMI source code (.ACD and .APA files) with unlimited data rights and no parts of the code shall be password protected, unless the Government will be given the password. This code will not be sold to 3rd parties, rather it will be used to troubleshoot the system and provide a backup in case of program loss
Contractor must provide all tools, equipment, and material to install a fully functional system.
Contractor will be responsible for connecting system to base power. (Customer will provide utilities (electrical power and plant air) within 50' of equipment)
Final inspection per government end user acceptance. Commissioning and testing of parts to be required before acceptance (Training end users from start to finish on how to load part, teach robot how/where to paint, make adjustments to produce a fully painted part).
A minimum of 3 nonconsecutive weeks of operator/maintenance training
