Statement of Work (SOW)
NEXION 350D ICP-MS SERVICE
GENERAL INFORMATION
1.0 Scope of Work: Contractor will provide factory trained engineers to perform two (2) preventive maintenance service visits and unlimited emergency visits on the Perkin Elmer Nexion 350D Inductively Couple Plasma-Mass Spectrometer (ICP-MS) located at 1815 N University Street in Peoria Illinois.
Covered components will include:
1) MASN8140042 ASSY-NEXION 350D TOP LEVEL ICP-MS
2) S10AUTOSAMPLER
3) ICPN0772046 CHILLER -1HP 230V/60HZ TP QUIET
2.0 Background: Preventive maintenance is required to ensure continued & reliable operation in support of the NCAUR research mission.
CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS
3.0 Technical Requirements/Tasks:
Service tasks include, but are not limited to:
1) Check Maintenance log and run Daily Performance Test
2) Clean the anti-suckback valve in rotary vane of vacuum interface
3) Check and replace vacuum fluid
4) Check cones and orings. Replace if necessary
5) Check RF shield ring, clean if necessary
6) Clean and lubricate the interface gate valve assembly
7) Perform preventative maintenance on chiller
8) Check flow rates on exhaust system
9) Inspect and replace as necessary all torch components
10) Check X-Y-Z stage for corrosion or abnormal wear
11) Inspect and clean all PC boards
12) Check software firmware upgrade as necessary
13) Check the RF Generator
14) Check and adjust the QPS tuning
15) Check zero for Cell Gas mass flow controllers
16) Perform optimization on instrument
Contractor will provide telephone support and unlimited emergency visits to the customer location.
Repair parts are to be included unless otherwise stated in this statement of work.
4.0 Government Furnished: Government-furnished support is limited to security access to the equipment in the NCAUR facility, replacement parts not otherwise covered under this agreement, AC power (110VAC) and standard office lighting.

6.0 Travel: One (1 preventive maintenance service visit will be provided by the contractor. All service visits will be coordinated with the ICP-MS Operator at NCAUR.
7.0 Contractor’s Key Personnel: Only factory trained engineers are to perform any service procedure on the Perkin Elmer ICP-MS Nexion 350D.
8.0 Security Requirements: A copy of an official government photo ID (State-issued driver’s license or ID card, passport, green card, etc.) must be provided no later than one week before arrival of contract service technician(s) except in the case of emergency service, were only the name of the technician provided via email or telephone will be necessary. Security access to the NCAUR facility will be provided based on this identification requirement.
9.0 Data Rights: Not applicable.
10.0 Section 508 – Electronic and Information Technology Standards: Not applicable.
