SF 30 Continuation Sheet HSFLGL-15-Q-00238, Amendment 000003
RESPONSE TO PRE-BID QUESTIONS
ATF Canopy Replacement
Pre-Bid Meeting 1000 hrs., 08 June, 2015
Contractor Question #1: Section 01 45 00 1.5 states that the project will have a full time PM, QC and Super on site at all times. Please confirm that this is a requirement.
RESPONSE: The contractor shall have a full time Superintendent on site at all times. The duties of the PM and QC Managers may be accomplished by the full time Superintendent.
Contractor Question #2: With the amount of time needed for the canopy shop drawings, submittal review period of those drawings, fabrication, installation and misc. work. We feel that the contract completion of 90 days after NTP will not allow enough time to complete the items previously listed. Can additional time be added to the project? It was also discussed that there could be possible delays to the project due to ATF training. How will that be addressed i.e. site management costs, equipment rental, demobe/mobe costs, etc?
RESPONSE: The contract completion date of 90 days after NTP shall be revised to 180 days after NTP in order to provide sufficient time for canopy shop drawings, submittal review period of those drawings, fabrication, installation, misc. work, and possible delays due to ATF training.
Contractor Question #3: May I make an additional site visit with my Pre-engineered building erection subcontractor?
RESPONSE: Yes. Additional site visit has been scheduled for Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 1:00 PM.
Contractor Question #4: Attachments B, C and D listed at the end of the Statement of Work
(page 9 of 474 in the PDF file) do not appear to be part of the solicitation package. Will they be provided?
RESPONSE: No. The requirements for these items are found in the Statement of Work, Section 2.1, paragraphs D, E, and G.
Contractor Question #5: What personnel is required to be onsite at all times for the duration of the contract (Superintendent, QC Manager, etc.)?
RESPONSE: The contractor shall have a full time Superintendent on site at all times.
Contractor Question #6: For this project, can the superintendent also serve as the QC manager?
RESPONSE: The duties of the QC Manager may be accomplished by the full time Superintendent.
Contractor Question #7: Could you provide some pictures of the existing structure to be demolished?
RESPONSE: Yes. Photographs of the existing structure are found in the attached Photograph Log.
Contractor Question #8: Regarding the new Canopy, is this structure to be a pre-engineered building type of structure?
RESPONSE: Yes.
Contractor Question #9: Regarding the 120 volt wire crossing over the existing canopy, will this wire have to be relocated?
RESPONSE: Yes. Replace the existing overhead 120 volt wire with a direct bury cable. Ensure buried cable is constructed in accordance with code requirements, and provide metallic detector tape above the direct bury cable.
Restore areas disturbed by cable burial by reseeding grasses and sealing asphalt in accordance with GDOT requirements for roadway repair. Length of the direct bury cable is estimated to be approximately 160 LF. However, contractor is responsible for field verification of all dimensions, existing construction, and conditions.
Contractor Question #10: Are the icemaker and sink to be removed during construction?
RESPONSE: No. The contractor shall ensure continued operation of the icemaker and sink at all times during this project. Photos of the icemaker and sink are included in the attached Photograph Log.
Contractor Question #11: Is the Model # for the Kaypark 10 Row Standard 8” Rise Bleachers correct?
RESPONSE: No. Section 2.1, Paragraph D of the Statement of Work is revised as follows: “Bleachers shall be Kaypark 10 Row Standard 8” Rise Bleachers, Model # BLA10A27V4F4 with 48” center aisle and handrail similar to Kaypark Model # 48AHR; or approved equal”.
