The following are the specifications for the acoustic/projection hailing device required by PATFORSWA.

Physical dimensions not to be exceeded:

1. 80 lbs total weight of acoustic device;

2. 30 inches in width/ diameter;

3. 35 inches in height;

4. 15 inches in depth.

Physical characteristics requirements:

1. Unit must be a one piece apparatus. No external speaker, power supply, or amplifier boxes;

2. Unit must be yoke mounted allowing articulation to 85 degrees in elevation and 360 degrees in bearing. The yoke system must allow for pinned stowage at 0 degrees elevation;

3. Unit will have replaceable modular electronics package;

4. Unit must be weather resistant.

Electrical specifications:

1. 115 VAC 60-50hz primary power;

2. 9 amps maximum current draw at 115 VAC;

3. 4 amps nominal current draw at 115VAC.

Acoustical Specifications:

1. 10 degree conical acoustic field beam;

2. 375 Hz-18 kHz usable frequency response;

3. 153db max sound pressure level within 1khz-10khz bandwidth;

4. 149db max sound pressure level within normal voice bandwidth (400hz-2khz);

5. 92db max sound pressure level at the back plane of the device;

6. Built in alert tone.

Acoustical inputs:

1. Voice a.

Dynamic mic input, 600ohm to 1k ohm via twisted pair cable to mil-spec amphenol connector.

b.

Line level input 0db-.77v (RMS) via twisted pair cable to mil-spec amphenol connector (conventional MP-3 or program audio input).

Controls:

1. Variable output potentiometer;

2. Input selection, Microphone/external audio device;

3. Output high/ low power selection;

4. Alert tone activation button;

5. Power On-Off switch.
