| Response deadline is stated as July 7, 2017 |
| Because there is a requirement to submit six (6) DID documents in addition to the Technical and Price volumes, we respectfully ask for an additional two weeks to July 21, 2017. |

There appears to be major disconnects between parts of this solicitation. This is a solicitation for a single conventional X-Ray unit, in accordance FAR subpart 12.6, Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items.
However, the solicitation includes a 79-page Statement of Work defining extensive requirements for program management, documentation, reporting, and numerous non-standard features. If done properly, compliance with the SOW will add cost to the effort far exceeding the value of the equipment provided.
Please explain the Government’s model for reconciling the extensive requirement for non-product services within the context of simplified commercial item solicitation.
It is understood that the paperwork/reporting that will be associated with this purchase will add cost to the effort, however, CBP requires this information
