Google Web Mapping Solution
HQC007-19-Q-0017
Questions & Answers
1. Can DeCA please confirm that the only APIs that will be used are Geocoding and Places Basic? Please confirm that no Javascript or Static Maps services are required. If they are, please provide estimated usage details for those or any other APIs.
a. DeCA does not require Javascript. We use Geocoding and Places. We also use Static Maps but based on our research the SKU: Embed Static maps are free with no limit. This usage is not even included in the usage chart due to that fact.
2. Google's pricing for Maps Platform is based on monthly usage, however it appears that DeCA has provided annual usage estimates. Is it possible to receive the usage estimates on a monthly basis instead? If not, is it acceptable to utilize an average over 12 months (using the data supplied in the RFQ) for each period in order to create pricing estimates?
a. DeCA has provided its requested quantity for annual usage. It is the vendor’s responsibility to propose the firm fixed unit prices to meet DeCA’s requirement noting that DeCA will only pay for actual credits used.
3. Please confirm that DeCA has access to both the current Google Maps Client ID as well as the email address/Google Account associated with the existing Google licensing.
a. We have a current Google Maps Client ID as well as an email address associated with existing Google licensing.
4. Whether companies from Outside USA can apply for this? (like, from India or Canada)
a. Indian and Canadian firms may submit responses to the subject Solicitation;
however, any offers will be evaluated in accordance with FAR Subpart 25.5 – Evaluating Foreign Offers (Supply Contracts).
5. Whether we need to come over there for meetings?
a. DeCA’s requirement does not mention meetings. Any meetings the vendor wishes to have will not be charged to DeCA.
6. Can we perform the tasks (related to RFP) outside USA? (like, from India or Canada)
a. Yes, there are many countries with which the United States has a trade agreement. Again, offers will be evaluated in accordance with FAR Subpart 25.5.
7. Can we submit the proposals via email?
a. Email quotes to Heather.Jarratt@deca.mil and LeAnna.Stith@deca.mil. All interested parties are required to submit their offer(s) in accordance with the subject Solicitation.
