Q1: Would you please clarify if virtual training is a possibility under this contract. I have a language school in which we offer Arabic Language Virtual classroom and developed excellent online training products. I would be so interested in submitting an offer for MSA and Iraqi.
A1: This requirement is for onsite services only.
Q2: As we understand the PWS, it seems as though there will be 35 weeks of classes broken into 7 month long segments. A concern is how many students per class do you estimate? There is a schedule of 7 lectures given in attachment 4, named LEC 17-01 through LEC 17-07. Are these a hierarchy of course work, meaning the student takes LEC 17-01 first, LEC 17-02 second and so on, or they the same class taught 7 times?
A2: PWS 1.6.2 states “Class size will typically range from 1-6 students.” The courses are not continuous. It is anticipated that different students will attend each iteration (LEC 17-01,02 etc).
Q3: In the PWS it states “Instruction is primarily conducted at advanced proficiency levels (Levels 2+ through level 4).” Is that for speaking, listening and reading?
A3: In PLTCE's advanced-language training courses, all four skills (reading, listening, speaking, and, to some extent, writing) are addressed. The mix is determined by the needs of the classes and individual learners.
