PWS
William J. Perry Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies (WJPC)
Performance Work Statement for
Audio-Visual Upgrade to Próceres Room
1. Purpose: This PWS delineates the equipment required for audio visual equipment for the William J. Perry
Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies (WJPC), located in Abraham Lincoln Hall (ALH) on the campus of National
Defense University (NDU).
Background: WJPC fully configured and equipped 5 seminar rooms with AV systems, and updated the lecture room with an HD VTC system, all with similar configuration to the ones installed by NDU-UTS when relocated in 2009, all new rooms were done keeping in mind system compatibility, operation and maintenance. We are currently overdue for a life cycle upgrade and would like to upgrade the main lecture room in ALH, 3 rd floor
North 60, to a digital system. The upgrade not only contemplates the life cycle equipment replacement, but is also intended as an enhancement for new requirements based on new classroom technologies and mission/program demands. NDU CIO has approved and supports the proposed upgrade. They will work directly with WJPC and contractor to ensure the system is configured and added to the NDU network as needed.
2. Scope: Contractor is to provide equipment, assembly, installation, integration, testing/acceptance, and demonstration of use for an Audio Visual (AV) system for the William J. Perry Center for Hemispheric Defense

WJPC needs to upgrade the existing audiovisual system in 1 (one) room: Próceres (3212/3210). This room is located on the third floor of the Abraham Lincoln Hall building on the NDU campus on Fort McNair, Washington DC.
The AV digital upgrade should allow for full audiovisual integration and operation to support current functionalities provided by the existing WJPC-NDU system; inputs/ outputs for TEK panels, video streaming, wireless microphones, AV panel control programming integration to main system control and installation. There is also the need for video and audio HD streaming capability in Próceres and Americas. This would allow users to view lectures, video conferences, and presentations throughout the NDU campus, with the option/ capability to record on a DVD these meetings and events. The Contractor will implement and provide a new digital upgrade to current system to include the equipment, materials, programming, and installation required for these facilities in order to integrate in compliance with the current WJPC requirements as well as the NDU AV system standards in Lincoln Hall. The Contractor will also reuse existent equipment that will require no upgrades and can fully integrate. (Existing Equipment to keep
