QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

SOLICITATION # HE1260-10-R-4011

RESPONSES TO OFFEROR QUESTIONS:

1. Do you encourage an American base company to be on this RFP?

Response: This solicitation is open to all contractors who can perform under NAICS code 561720;

however, due to Status of Forces Agreement between Korea and United States, local vendors will be considered first for this type of requirement. If there are no local vendors that can meet the technical requirements, then an American based company might be considered.

2. Can we bid with US business license?

Response: The prime contractor or the main subcontractor must have a valid Korean business license.

3. Can we proceed to acquire Korea Business license after we are awarded the contract?

Response: No, offerors must have a Korea Business license at time of proposal submission.

4. Could you provide us with the size of the buildings listed in this RFP?

Response: Amendment 0001 was issued to attach the drawings/layout of DoDEA American Elementary School, Middle School, DSO and High School located in Seoul, Korea.

5. I'd like to find out the total square meters for each of the schools, associated buildings and Admin Center.

Response: See response to Question #4.

6. Is there a chance the Proposal due date will be extended past next Friday?

Response: To date, the proposals are due COB (5:00 PM) on 24 May 2010 (Pacific Time).

7. I would like to find out what was last year fiscal budget for this solicitation.

Response: Since budgets and requirements change, we are unable to provide you with last year’s budget for this solicitation. It is up to the offeror to propose the size of staff and type of skills the offeror believes would be required for the new contract, based on the tasks/requirement in the PWS, the building layouts of all the DoDEA schools in Seoul, Korea and the Frequency Table included herein.

8. Who is the current incumbent?

Response: This is a new requirement so there is no incumbent for this specific requirement for DoDEA Pacific. However, for information on the Yongsan Army Base Custodial Services contract, of which DoDEA’s Seoul Complex facilities were included, please contact the 411th

Contracting Support Brigade as they were the contracting office that awarded that contract..
