The sewing is broken in multiple places and the case is completely detached from the text block. There are 7 detached leaves or bifolia. The sewing is almost completely broken and no visible adhesive remains on the spine. The paper itself is in fair condition very little mechanical damage and moderate damage associated with exposure to moisture. There are tide lines and distortions in the paper throughout. There is light oxidation associated with the iron gall ink media. The pastedowns and fly leaves are VERY distorted. Approximately 7 sections with 5 folios each. | Base | Surface clean. The leather is in the early stages of red rot and the grain layer is slightly friable.
