Product Description Naval Special Warfare Command Objet 350 Connex 3 Production 3-Dimensional Printer Brand Name or Equal

1. BACKGROUND

1.1. Special Reconnaissance Team One, Technical Operations Troop requires the capability to test new technologies and equipment, and re-design of existing equipment. Prototyping using 3D technology provides this capability.

2. OBJECTIVE

2.1. To procure a commercially available 3D Printer with full-function fabrication capability to facilitate the development of new technologies, field existing technologies in new ways, and save on procurement costs by leveraging the prototyping capabilities of this technology.

3. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT

3.1. This requirement is for the procurement and installation of an Objet 350 Connex 3-3D Printer, Brand Name or Equal, with the following specifications:

3.1.1. Capability of producing horizontal build layers as fine as 16 microns (.0006 in.) for creating high density products.

3.1.2. Minimum Build Platform not less than (XYZ) >= 342 x 342 x 200 mm (13.4 x 13.4 x 7.9 in.)

3.1.3. Resolution X-axis: 600 dpi; Y-axis: 600 dpi; Z-axis: 1600 dpi

3.1.4. Accuracy 20-85 microns for features below 50 mm; up to 200 microns for full model size. Accuracy standards shall be achievable from design to actual product with minimal loss.

3.1.5. Prints rubberized polymers

3.1.6. Prints transparent ABS

3.1.7. Prints snap-fit capable polypropylene facsimiles

3.1.8. Prints Digital ABS™ for thin wall rigidity

3.1.9. Prints heat-tolerant materials for fittings

3.1.10. Uses full-cure photopolymer Water Jet removable support material

3.1.11. Prints paintable finish parts.

3.1.12. System Requirements

3.1.12.1. Workstation Compatibility with Windows 7/Windows 8

3.1.12.2. Able to accept STL files

3.1.13. Network Connectivity LAN TCP/IP

3.1.14. Power Requirements 110-240 VAC 50/60Hz; 1.5 kW single phase.

3.2. Installation and Training

3.2.1. Vendor shall provide factory authorized installation of all equipment.

3.2.2. Vendor shall provide user level training at time of installation for five (5) NSW personnel. At a minimum, training shall include:

3.2.2.1. Initial Setup

3.2.2.2. Replacement/replenishment of additive material

3.2.2.3. Preventive maintenance checks and services

3.2.2.4. Basic and advanced printer operations

3.2.3. Vendor shall provide a one year extended warranty beyond manufacturer warranty that includes:

3.2.3.1. On-site support delivered within three business days. This service shall be performed during regular business hours and include all labor costs, cost of minor replacement parts associated with periodic maintenance, and travel expenses

3.2.3.2. Unlimited technical support during regular working hours

3.2.3.3. Software and hardware update

3.3. Support Material Removal System

3.3.1. Vendor shall provide equipment to remove support structure after printing completion
