Telecommunication Services for Alaska State Wide

Additional Questions:

1. For CLIN 00T1 Point to Point T1 Our understanding of a Point to Point T1 is a circuit between two specific customer locations customarily identified as location A and Z.

Which of the following scenarios apply?

A. Specific locations within a single city only:

Location A: 222 W 7th Ave, Anchorage

Location Z: 3601 C Street, Anchorage

B. Specific locations across the state:

Location A: 222 W 7th Ave, Anchorage

Location Z: 709 W 9th, Juneau

We assume, based on the documentation provided (RFP & associated attachments), that GSA considers a point to point T1 to be consistent with A above. Please confirm if this is correct.

GSA RESPONSE: A Point to Point T-1 in Alaska is a dedicated circuit with only two end points within the same Local Access and Transport Area. Scenario one is the one that qualifies as a Point to Point T-1.

2. Pricing spreadsheet. B.7.2.5.

a. What specific values are you expecting in the “Charging Mechanism” and “Charging Unit” fields?

GSA RESPONSE: Charging Mech; (per mile, per listing, etc) Charging Unit; (per Month)

b. If the proposed rate is consistent thru the 7 year term, what values should be included in the fields labeled year 1-7?

GSA RESPONSE: Prices are required for all 7 years. If the prices remain constant, for all 7 years, then so indicate clearly on the pricing spreadsheets.

3. C.2.1.1.b.

What is the difference between optional feature # 27 - Voicemail Enhanced (B.7.2.5, ID # 40) and Features (B.7.2.5, ID # 48 & 49) Voicemail Tree - 1st Layer and Voicemail Tree - Subsequent layers?

GSA RESPONSE: #27 Voicemail Enhanced is Voicemail Trees/Auto Attendants see Newton’s Telecom Dictionary for definition. Voicemail Integrate (B.7.2.5 #40) integrated voicemail on a 001A (analog business line w/features, in Alaska Simple Business line). Features (B.7.2.5, ID #48 & 49) do not have anything to do with voicemail. #48 circular hunting, #49 sequential hunting see Newton’s Dictionary for definitions.

4. C.2.1.2.a #5- Transfer feature – Do you envision this feature to operate similar to 3 way calling, with the exception that the transferor can drop off once the other two legs are connected?

GSA RESPONSE: Not 3 way calling, If not applicable to service just N/A response required.

5. Statutory Requirement for Special Contracts

GSA RESPONSE: Any special requirements that are requested need to be provide with the RFP for negotiation and evaluation.
