About this file
This statement of work outlines genotyping services required by the United States Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service Wildlife Services National Feral Swine Genetic Archive. The contractor must genotype 2544 porcine samples collected through ongoing feral swine damage management and disease surveillance efforts using GeneSeek's Genomic Profiler of Porcine 80k high-density SNP array. Services include DNA extraction from tissue samples, generation of SNP genotypes with a low error rate, and delivery of data files within six weeks of sample submission. Performance will take place over a 365-day period with samples submitted in batches twice monthly. The contractor will provide genotype data files for each batch to the National Feral Swine Genetic Archive for screening and resolution of any data irregularities. Billing will be allowed throughout the contracting period as batches are analyzed. This supports the related federal contract opportunity posted by the USDA APHIS for DNA testing services.

Statement Of Work
Background The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) Wildlife Services (WS) National Feral Swine Genetic Archive has a need for the genotyping of 2544 porcine samples collected through ongoing feral swine damage management and diseases surveillance efforts led by the National Feral Swine Programs. Genotypes serve as the foundation to understand the movement/expansion of feral swine while elucidating otherwise hidden aspects of both the ecology of the species and drivers of invasion.
Scope of Work We require genotyping with GeneSeek’s Genomic Profiler of Porcine (GGP) 80k high-density SNP array to continue building a seamless dataset held by the National Feral Swine Genetic Archive, which allows associated personnel to both address operational needs and provide guidance for ongoing management efforts.
Specifications:
The Contractor must be capable of laboratory and genetic analyses necessary to generate high density SNP genotypes from submitted tissue samples (DNA extraction required) using GeneSeek’s Genomic Profiler of Porcine (GGP) 80k high-density SNP array, with a low error rate, and return data in a timely manner (within 6 weeks of sample submission unless otherwise agreed upon).
Performance Work Statement (PWS):
The Contract must be able to provide high resolution SNP genotypes generated using GeneSeek’s Genomic Profiler of Porcine (GGP) 80k high-density SNP array. Genotyping services must be completed within a timely manner (within 6 weeks of sample submission). Data will be returned electronically as a genotype file or some other agreed upon file format through a secure File Transfer Protocol (or other agreed upon method for file transfer). Data will be received by Archive personnel when downloaded from the FTP and any data irregularities will be conveyed to the Contract, if they arise.
Period of Performance: All genotyping Genotypes will be completed within a 365-day period, with samples submitted intermittently (batches of samples submitted approximately twice monthly) throughout the contract period.
Deliverables Schedule: A genotype file (or some other suitable data file) will be delivered within 6 weeks of sample submission.
Acceptance Criteria: Genotypes will be screened by Archive personnel for completeness (recognizing that incomplete genotypes may be attributable to DNA degradation of the submitted samples). Data irregularities will be brought to the attention of the Contractor for resolution.
Type of Contract/Payment Schedule if applicable: Billing throughout the contracting period would be acceptable as batch of samples are analyzed.
