About this file
This statement of work outlines requirements for four 250,000W DC power supplies to expand testing capabilities at the NASA Glenn Research Center's Electric Aircraft Testbed facility. The identical power supplies will enhance the existing capability by providing a total of 3MW of available DC power. Technical specifications include input power of 60Hz 3-phase 480VAC, output voltage ramping within 15 seconds, voltage and current programming accuracy of 0.075%, and load regulation of 0.01% for voltage and 0.04% for current. The power supplies must be compatible with existing Magna MT700 units to operate in a master/slave configuration. The sole deliverable is the four DC power supplies to meet the objectives of expanding electrical power testing for electric and hybrid-electric aircraft technologies.

STATEMENT OF WORK
Four DC Power Supplies
1.0 Introduction/Background: The NASA Electric Aircraft Testbed (NEAT) is a test facility at Armstrong Test Facility (ATF) that allows the testing of high-power equipment for eventual use in hybrid-electric aircraft systems. It is one of the only facilities in the world that is able to test high-power systems and components under simulated altitude conditions. NEAT is part of the Power and Propulsion (P&P) sub-project, which is part of the Advanced Air Transport Technology (AATT) project. The P&P sub-project is exploring multiple technologies that would enable electric, or hybrid-electric, aircraft, resulting in quieter, more fuel-efficient, and more environmentally-friendly flight.
NEAT is expanding its power capability to test high power components required for hybrid-electric flight. This procurement is for four (4) power supplies, which will enhance the existing capability.
2.0 Scope of Work: This procurement is for four (4) 250,000W DC power supplies.
The power supplies are identical to NEAT’s existing units.

3.0 Objectives: Expand the existing electrical power capability of the NEAT facility to 3MW of available DC power. This power expansion will expand the possible testing that can be done at the facility, and open options for more customers.
4.0 Description of the Work/Contractor Tasks: The contractor task consists of providing the power supplies. No meeting or reviews are expected for this off-the-shelf equipment.
5.0 Deliverables: The deliverable for this procurement is the four (4) DC power supplies.
