MEMO TO: Contract Specialist, MICC

SUBJECT: Laundry Steam Roll Flat Ironer

Requirement: The Laundry Facility requires a new steam heated, three roll ironer to accomplish the mission of laundering clothing and linens for the cadets and medical treatment facilities. The equipment will replace the current item which is beyond life cycle expectancy and could cause a delay in the processing of laundry. The ironer has a life cycle expectancy of 15 years but is 34 years old. This item is utilized daily to accomplish the mission. To maintain this operational tempo with properly maintained equipment, operation must be seamless and result in minimal operational deficiencies. The intent is to purchase the equipment as soon as practical utilizing the following specifications.

Three Roll Steam Heated Ironer:

1. Same or equivalent to Jensen 336-CF-153.

2. Insulated canopy and steam lines for radiant heat reduction.

3. Finger guards and safeties around the machine.

4. Forward reversing and jog capabilities

5. Adjustable chest pressure and drive speed.

6. Ability to interface with other feed and folding machines

7. Vacuum and exhaust equipped.

8. 208VAC 3 phase electrical service compatible.

9. Steam supply requirement of 125 PSI.

10. Minimum 150" finishing width capacity.

11. CSA compliant.

Vendor Requirements:

1. Must do a site visit to examine current equipment and ensure new equipment will be compatible with all electric, plumbing, and steam, and can fit in installation space provided.

2. Must remove and dispose of current, unserviceable three roll ironer, including disconnect of all components tied into facility utilities, and install new equipment.

3. The vendor will be responsible for shipping, delivering, uncrating, installation, start-up, electrical, and demonstration of new equipment and removal of packaging and installation materials. Installation to include connection of new equipment to all existing electric, plumbing, and steam.

4. Must include a standard 1-year warranty on parts and workmanship.
