SVAT SITE VISIT:
The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Space Vehicles Directorate (RV), Spacecraft Component Technology Center of Excellence (RVSV) and Space Based Advanced Sensing and Protection Branch (RVSS), are conducting a Site Visit to tour RVSV and RVSS facilities to be used for its next R&D contract, Space Vehicles Advanced Technology (SVAT), the follow-on to STRAIT.
SVAT SITE VISIT INFORMATION:
Date: 9 December 2011 Time: 13:00 Place(s): Kirtland AFB, NM
SITE VISIT OBJECTIVE:
This site visit is being held in anticipation of the planned release of the SVAT Request for Proposals (RFP). The site visit consists of a tour of AFRL/RVS facilities at Kirtland where SVAT experiments and related work will be performed. Transportation will not be provided on-base. Attendees will provide their own transportation. Parking will be available on Kirtland AFB, NM.
REGISTRATION:
Pre-registration and an approved visit request for this site visit are MANDATORY. Persons not pre-registered and pre-approved will not be allowed to attend. Attendees will be required to show government-issued identification at the site visit check-in. Registration is limited to persons who are US citizens, with at least a US SECRET clearance. Due to space limitations, registration is limited to two people from each company.
Each company should register their employees for this event by providing registration information to the Administrative POC, Captain Scott Askey. Provide the following information for all attendees: Title, Full Name, Preferred Name, Company/Organization, Title/Position, Full Address, Phone, and Email Address to POC via email at scott.askey@kirtland.af.mil or phone at (505) 853-0575.
VISIT REQUEST FOR KIRTLAND AFB:
All visit requests are required to be submitted via the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS). The JPAS code for AFRL at Kirtland is KV1MFSCC6.
If a company does not have access to JPAS, visit requests may be submitted via fax. However, all faxed visit requests for personnel who are in JPAS will be rejected by the PRS Security Office and will be required to re-submit through JPAS.
Visit requests submitted by fax must be typed and on company letterhead. Use a format that is best suited for your company; however it must contain all applicable information. The visit request must be signed by the security office/manager in order to verify individual employment and clearance status. Without that signature, the visit request will be considered invalid and will not be processed. All visit requests not submitted through JPAS must be faxed; they cannot be hand-carried.
The following information must be contained on a faxed visit request:
1. Full Name
2. Social Security Number (SSN)
3. Job Title/Position
4. Date and Place of birth
5. Citizenship
6. Level of Clearance
7. Date of Clearance
8. Name, Organization and Phone Number of person to be visited (TBD RVSV and RVSS POC)
9. Purpose and Justification for the visit in sufficient detail (Site Visit for SVAT Acquisition)
10. Date or Period during which the visit is to be valid on 9 December 2011
11. Company Name, Address, and Phone Number
12. Signature of Security Manager
13. Name of Security Manager
Fax visit requests to the AFRL Visitor Control Center at (505) 846-2190. Should there be any questions for the AFRL Visitor Control Center, they may be reached at (505) 846-7355.
LOCATION:
This site visit will take place at the Air Force Research Laboratory location at Kirtland AFB, NM. Upon successful registration, a site visit information package will be provided via e-mail, that will include directions to and instructions for accessing both bases and directions to the site visit locations at both bases.
OTHER CONSIDERATIONS:
At the site visit, all questions must be presented in writing to a Government SVAT POC; attendees should bring writing materials. Following the site visit, any additional questions from the attendees must be submitted in writing by e-mail to Mr Wayne Zitzka (wayne.zitzka@kirtalnd.af.mil) no later than 5:00 p.m. Mountain Time on 13 December 2011. An overall “Q&A” will be posited to FedBizOps by 5:00 p.m. Mountain Time on 16 December 2011.
