Questions and Answers
Portable Trailers Lease
FA9301-18-L-B001
Please see the below questions and answers related to this requirement. As a reminder, the deadline to submit quotes is 27 November 2017 by 4:00PM (PST) and must be submitted via email to ashley.priestley@us.af.mil and john.wagner.15@us.af.mil.
Question 1: Four (4) Months project with the option to exercise a one month extension – Trailers need to be removed within 60 days of the period of performance completion date?
Is this mean 60 days to remove all 30 floors (2 days per floor)?
Answer: ALL trailers need to be removed within 60 days after the period of performance end date. There is no set rule on the amount to be removed per day as long as everything has been removed within that 60 days.
Question 2: I’m going to assume that this is prevailing wages job, correct? This was not on the SOW.
Answer: This has been catagorized as a supply requirement and not a service.
Question 3: 2.18 Dig Permit: Coordinate digging permits? Can you get me more details about this please.
Answer: Post award, but prior to digging (if required) a dig permit must be coordinated and approved
Question 4: 3.12 Specifies all trailers must be “dry” trailers without restroom fixtures, there will be no water supplies or sewer connected to the trailers. There are two (2) buildings under the 3.2 Individual trailer Specs/Description showing restrooms 48x60 (Briefing and Conference Area) and 24x60 Reception Area, Equipment Storage. Can you please make some clarifications.
Answer: This requirement is ONLY for the lease of dry trailers. The images in Section
3.2 have been provided to reference the layout of the trailers/site. The furniture, portable toilets, etc. will all be leases via separate contracts.
Question 5: 3.1.12. Trailers must be equipped with emergency light? Need clarification, please specify this?
Answer: In case of a power failure there needs to be backup lights that will illuminate the trailers enough to safely vacate the building during night occupancy.
Question 6: Is there any flexibility for similar floor plans?

Answer: No. No deviations allowed.
Question 7: Are there any additional specs that are required for either office that is not shown?
Answer: No.
Question 8: What is the physical address of the site?
Answer: The address of AFP 42 is 2503 E Ave P. Palmdale CA, 93550. Contractor will enter through the main gate off of Palmdale Blvd. and 25th Street East. From there, the site is less than a mile away with easy accessible roads.
Question 9: Is there a site plan available?
Answer: A site plan will be made available to the successful offeror if need be. Area of trailer location is a rectangle (250’ X 200’).
Question 10: What is the site surface?
Answer: Graded dirt with crushed concrete bedding that has been compacted.
Question 11: Are the floor layouts flexible or should they be laid out exactly as shown?
Answer: Exactly as shown. No deviations allowed.
Question 12: I noticed that the layouts in Section 3.2 display tables, chairs, etc. Are we to furnish the trailers as well?
Answer: No. This contract is ONLY for the lease of trailers.
