QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Q1: Will you also need to plan for a mission critical voice communications system or upgrade as part of project?

A1: No

Q2: Is this solution only specified for a single classified or unclassed network?

A2: Single classification level

Q3: It appears the Planar model number listed is not in existence?

A3: The Planar model listed does exist it just hasn't been released yet. Part number, specifications, and pricing were provided by Planar. They are supposed to start shipping around June 2016.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Facility where the install will take place is in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) that is Top Secret classified, installers will need to be escorted by Government personnel at all times. The Government anticipates closing the facility for two weeks for the install. Scheduling for this block of time is at the Government’s discretion.

Facility hours are M-F 6:30AM-4:30PM, off times may be accommodated on a case by case basis.

All power will be provided and pre-installed by the Government based on requirements provided by the installers.

Cable tray for the install will be provided and pre-installed by the Government.

Yellow fiber cabling shall be used for the install.

All equipment shall be wired when possible. The only wireless control allowed is IR remote controls. No other wireless connectivity is permitted; no blue tooth, no Wi-Fi; no RF. The exception to this rule is capabilities built into the Microsoft Surface Hubs; we are aware they have built-in wireless capabilities and camera; they will not be installed in the SCIF unless permission is given. They will be delivered and mounted to the stands in our lab outside the SCIF.

All audio linked to the video sources should be routable through the matrix switcher and the audio shall be output to the existing audio system.

One of the 98” LCDs with the wall mount specified in Attachment #1 will be installed by the Government at a later date. There will be a verification that they are in working condition as part of the performance of this requirement.
