LIST OF REQUIREMENTS ATTACHMENT NO. 1

Video Wall, Large Format LCD Displays, and Video Matrix Switcher System Requirements

Overview The system shall consist of a large video wall, a high bandwidth matrix video switcher, a multi-screen console for live input preview, and control hardware for easy system configuration. The video wall, shall consist of 27 LCD screens contiguously arranged in a 9x3 matrix, shall act as three (3) essentially independent displays of 3x3 LCDs. Each 3x3 section shall support the viewing of 1080p sources scaled and stretched across their full span, and also support the display of full resolution sources of 5760x3240 @60Hz with no color subsampling. There shall be eight (8) main video sources for this system. They shall consist of six (6) 1080p sources, and two (2) high resolution sources of 5760x3240. The system shall support a console that allows for the pixel for pixel, full resolution monitoring of all eight (8) of these sources simultaneously. The system shall support auxiliary inputs that do not need to be monitored live on the console. These extra inputs shall consist of a variety of video standards including VGA, DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort. Each input type shall need to support 1920x1080 @ 60Hz with no color subsampling. There shall be intuitive touch panel control units that shall visually depict video sources and the video wall output regions. The touch panel shall provide options for what to display on each section of the video wall screen. The system must be able to seamlessly switch between the high-res sources and 1080p sources without any extra user configuration. The control units shall interface with the video wall controller hardware along with the matrix switcher. The control hardware shalll consist of two (2) control panels, one located at the console and the other located near the video wall.

The total cost of the entire system must include shipping, professional installation certified by the equipment manufacturers, custom control software development, and training. Refer to system configuration diagram.

Video Wall The video wall shall be the central feature for the facility in which this system is to be installed. It is to be composed of a matrix of 55” LCDs in a 9x3 (27 total) configuration, each with a resolution of 1920x1080 and a bezel of less than 2mm to create a near seamless display. The LCD mounts must enable landscape orientation with a 6-axis adjustment system per panel for precise alignment along a curved wall. Reduction of heat and noise at the screen is required. The system shall provide an off-board electronics design architecture with modular power supply and quad controller hardware independent from the LCD screens rack mounted in a remote location.

A colored melamine blocking material shall be installed to properly support and anchor the LCD panels on the wall. Each blocking panel shall run from the carpeted concrete floor to the raised ceiling with a total height of 12 feet. They shall be colored to match or complement the existing walls in the room.

The following parts list meets the video wall requirements:

Video Matrix Switcher and Control System The video matrix switcher must be modular to enable future expansion. The switcher frame must be able to support configurations up to 64 inputs and 64 outputs. Initial configuration of the video switcher must include at least 24 twisted pair (CATx) inputs and 27 HDMI outputs. Although the initial configuration shall not have any 4K sources, the matrix switcher frame and HDMI output boards must fully support 3840x2160 (4K) @ 60Hz resolution with 4:4:4 chroma sampling for future expansion. Video sources shall be up to 330 feet from the switcher and transmitted over CATx twisted pair cables via HDMI to CATx transmitters that must support 1920x1080@60Hz resolution with Deep Color.

Another requirement for the video routing system is a control system that includes 2 touch screen control panels with an intuitive graphical user interface to enable total control of the video wall and matrix switching system including powering devices on/off and assigning video sources to sections of the video wall. The touchscreens must NOT have integrated cameras, microphones, or wireless communication. It should enable preview of the video sources prior to display. Custom software for the control system hardware is required.

The following parts list meets the video matrix switching and control system requirements:

A system console composed of six (6) 32” monitors in a 3x2 configuration is also required to simultaneously display all 24 live sources that are being transmitted to the matrix switcher. 18 of those sources are from the 2 computers systems described above with 9 outputs each, and the other 6 from additional video sources. The monitors must be capable of each displaying 4 independent 1920x1080@60Hz from potentially disparate computer systems. The following monitors meet the unique display requirements:

QtyPart#Description
6PA322UHD-BK-232” 4K NEC Monitor

Additional Requirements Some additional display hardware is also required, but shall not be connected to the videowall or matrix switcher hardware. It includes three (3) 98” LCD screens capable of displaying 3840x2160@60Hz resolution with 32-point touch interface. Two (2) of these displays need to be portable, so will also require a portable stand that can support the size and 300lb weight of the screen. One (1) will be wall mounted. Two (2) 84” touch screens are also required that are capable of displaying 3840x2160@120Hz resolution with up to 100 touch points. These will also need to be mounted on mobile stands so they are portable.
