SOLICITATION FA8751-15-R-0006, ENCLOSE HANGAR DOOR

Questions and Answers

Q1. On drawing A-101 a note says to remove wire mesh partitions and turn over to the government. What is the length and height of the wire partitions?

A1. The Metal partition wall is in the shape of an L. The height of the wall is eight (8) feet with the two legs, fifty (50) feet running North-South in direction and ten (10) feet running East-West in direction. The two legs connect at the North end of the wall. The wall is floor mounted, so it should be simple to remove.

Q2. On drawing A-101 and on E-101 a card reader with keypad is shown, however, the model and make of the card reader is not provided. It is not in the specifications either. Usually a card reader requires a power supply also. Please provide the make and model number of the card reader and the associated items such as power supplies that are required.

A2. The current installed card access system at the Rome Research Site and at B/101 consists of a Honeywell ProWatch system. Provide one (1) proximity card reader installation to include the necessary components (reader, battery pack, module, conduit, wire, etc.) to support personnel access at the man door of the completed project. A building controller currently resides between the existing hangar entrances/card readers, approximately 200 LF from the new installation.

Q3. On drawing A-101, Elevation East, the wording states 20’ wide x 16’ high door, but the dimensions say 20’ high. Please clarify the dimensions of the overhead door.

A3. The overhead door should be 20' x 20'.
