Grand Forks Question Set #1
Appendix A-para 3.1 states the stock pickers specified in the cover pd will interface with the pallet rack, however there are no stock pickers in the cover pd. Is this a typo or were the stock pickers left out?
Answer: This statement is an error and has been revised accordingly. There are no stock pickers included on this contract.
Appendix A-para 3.2.2 does not specify the depth of the upright frames for the pallet rack, nor does the drawing. However the drawing does state the item being stored on the pallet rack is 45” deep, does these mean 48” deep uprights are required?
Answer: Appendix A, Paragraph 3.2.1. states, “uprights shall be 10 feet tall and 4 feet deep.”
Appendix A-para 3.2.7.1 asks for Fire Retardant Plywood Decking to be secured to the top of wire mesh decking. Would it be easier to just supply solid steel decking or is there a reason for wire mesh and FR plywood both required?
Answer: The fire retardant plywood will be temporary. Please provide wire mesh decking with fire retardant plywood secured on top as specified.
