Questions and Answers
Updated 21 June 2017
1. Question: The inspection area in our system is 11x12 inches instead of 12x12 inches. Will this difference eliminate us from the bidding?
Answer: The Statement of Work states that a maximum of 12x12 inches is allowed for the inspection area.
2. Question: The maximum dimensions of our system is 33” wide x 43” deep x 64” high. Will this difference eliminate us from the bidding?
Answer: In accordance with the Statement of Work, the maximum dimensions of equipment are 35 inches (W) x 35 inches (D) x 70 inches (H).
3. Question: With regard to the Statement of Work document, it states under Paragraph 1c
“a minimum micro focus (focal spot) of 5 microns.” Under Paragraph 1d, it states “a resolution of 1 micro meter” (a micro meter is a micron). The very best resolution cannot be smaller than the focal spot size. Those stated requirements are illogical.
Answer: A revised Statement of Work has been posted that amends Paragraph 1c to read
“X-Ray source shall have a minimum micro focus of 5 micron.” and Paragraph 1d to read “Resolution of the sampled area shall be less than or equal to 1 micron micro focus.” Please see Revised Statement of Work dated 21
