Solicitation FA8224-16-R-0004 Answers to Questions

1. Q- Number 8 AWG wire and larger can be cut but number 10 and smaller cannot. Would you like us to increase or decrease number 10 and smaller AWGs? They come in 500/1000/2500 foot spools

A- It will be OK to go to the next (higher) quantity to make full rolls on the wire. So please round up

2. Q-#26 Uni-strut - What finish? Slots?
A-Galvanized with 1 5/8 inch slots
3. Q-#29 & 30 Bolt and nuts -Part number specified is for 3/8-16, not 3/8-18. Please clarify.
A-Thread count is 16
4. Q-#64 concrete anchors - Part number is for 1/4x3, not 1/4x5. Which length do you want?
A-¼”x3 ¼”
5. Q-#71 union Specified part number is not good. What type of union?
A-APP UNF150NR
6. Q-Are any items listed “Brand Name Only”?
A-Hoffman
Pennengineering
These are the manufactures that must be brand name only. Note
Pennengineering is spelled wrong on the material list. A Brand Name Justification willbe posted on FBO.gov with this solicitation.
7. Q-Line 28- This number is fiber, and everything else is steel. Is this part number correct?
A-Item should be steel. Part number should be HHCS 3/8 x 1-1/4. Same goes for linenumber 29 Zinc-plated steel.
8. Q-Line 61 says wire strand Bare and Tinned, but it needs to be one or the other.
A-#4 AWG bare meaning no insulated covering (no Jacket) 7 strands, each strand is tinned.
