Answers to Questions at Site Visit 14 April 2015

This information should only be used to clarify the requirements on the PWS. If the below information conflicts with the PWS, contractors are advised to propose to the requirements of the PWS.

1. Do the specs reference brand name parts and/or equivalent parts? The specs do reference brand names but the Government will accept equal submissions. FAR Clause 52.211-6 Brand Name or Equal will be added.

2. Are the evaporative cooling specs correct when referring to 5 degrees plus or minus? Is this referring to winter specs? Yes

3. Page 6 (1.5.2) should reflect 330 days for completion not 3300 days to completion.

4. One blast booth must be operable at all times.

5. Questions are allowed after today up until 7 days before the response date.

6. Pictures were not allowed.

7. Booths: floors, doors and blast pots are to remain in place. Everything else will be replaced.

8. Booth 844 shall be the first booth to be worked on at the commencement of the project.

9. Will Hill AFB will be responsible for disposing the demolition scrap/garbage. Hill AFB will dispose of all scrap materials and equipment, contractor is responsible for regular construction debris.

10. All training can be found in the specs.

11. “Burglar Bars” must be reinstalled in the new exhaust and intake system. Steam machine is only on during winter. Adjust accordingly for testing system.

12. The staging area is on the south side of the building.

13. Clarify that the dedicated heating system will be installed inside or outside. Inside the bldg. is the preferred method to avoid freezing problems.

14. Replace all floor gates. If the existing pad isn’t large enough then the contractor shall supply their own pad.
