Questions with Responses (25)

Listed below is a question submitted by Potential Offerors and the applicable Government Response.

All correspondence regarding RFP FA8213-17-R-3002 must be directed to the Contracting

Officer, Maxine Sena, maxine.sena@us.af.mil.

25. Contractor Question:

Regarding drawings 3952AS201 and 3952AS202 - which represent the foam packaging items required for this unit. Our suppliers have noted that the material called out on these drawings is pink in color and not flame resistant. To date, all other contracts the contractor has received for this effort have utilized flame resistant foam packaging which is white in color.

Please confirm the Government is requesting non-flame resistant foam packaging material (pink in color) for this effort?

Government Response:

Per the Navy, they were experiencing a lot of problems trying to obtain the flame retardant type closed cell foam. The Army has been using a Static-Dissipative type and the Navy drawings (3952AS201 & 202) were updated to reflect the Grade B (Static-Dissipative) material. This material, per the specification, is pink in color.
