Questions & Answers
1. The Scope of Work says that the West Gate and the South Gate will need cameras at the intersection. Does this mean that they are to be mounted on the traffic light poles?
a. Yes
2. There is no mention of switching capabilities in the SOW. Will PoE switches be provided by The Base and should we assume the cameras will have reasonable access to the Base’s network? i.e. will the contractor be expected to trench and/or bore cables to the nearest IDF?
a. Government will provide the POE switch for the camera to connect to. A site survey of the comm room in the bldg. that the camera cable will run to will need to be performed to ensure there are available ports on the network switch.
3. There is no mention of recording servers (NVRs) for these cameras. Will these be provided by The Base?
a. The cameras will be tied into our web-based recorder.
4. The SOW specifies Ocularis camera licenses but are they Professional, Enterprise, or Ultimate?
a. Enterprise Version 5.7
5. The SOW says that the contractor shall only provide cameras that meet the Air Force Mandate, but the camera models listed are nearly all legacy and are neither available nor suitable for this application. Can the contractor quote suitable cameras from approved manufacturers?
a. No, only cameras on the list provided within the SOW are authorized for use.
