Questions and Answers
1. It was noticed that totes were listed as 2000lb. The smallest totes are 3500lb. Will that be OK?
Yes, as long the desired requirement of the pounds requested can be fulfilled.
2. Are you planning to buy the totes as you have with the drums in the past or just "borrow" them until they can be returned?
Empty and return. If a deposit is required, please advise in quote
3. Will Government be providing drums or is the contractor expected to purchase drums of nitric acid?
The Government has 26 Stainless Steel drums that will be provided in the contract as Government Furnished Property (GFP). Drums will remain at Tinker inless they are being filled and returned.
4. Does the contractor have to pay for drums? Can contractor pick up Government drums and use them for deliveries?
Upon receipt of order, the contractor will pick up empty GFP drums, rinse, refill and deliver full drums to Tinker. Quote should be only for Nitric Acid stock and incorporate shipping/handling costs into per-gallon/lb price.
