COMMODITY ITEM DESCRIPTION FOR
Apex Rational Software Maintenance Agreement
558th SMXS/MXDEB/MXDED requires one (1) year support Apex Software Maintenance Agreement
(SMA) for PTC Apex/Ada Software. The 558 th engineers are responsible for analyzing, testing, developing and maintaining the Operational Flight Program (OFP) in the E-3 AWACS radar. The PTC
Apex/Ada products are core to sustaining this software and include 5 copies of Ada Developer and 33 copies of the Embedded Ada Developer. Software licenses are hosted on Sun servers using “floating” licenses to access the Ada, C, C++, and assembly compilers, source editors, debuggers, disassemblers, code analyzers, and configuration control software needed to sustain the E-3 radar OFP software. The specifics of the software and requirements for this acquisition are defined below:
This contract is for PTC, Inc. to provide software and technical support via e-mail and telephone during normal working hours for licensed Apex/Ada Developer products. There is no on-site technical support requirement. Services provided are:
1. Thirty-Three (33) MNT-DAEB5340F-T2 Apex/Ada Embedded Base v4.2 for Solaris/SPARC
2. Five (5) MNT-DANEE5000F-T2 Apex/Ada ENTERPRISE V4.4 for Solaris/SPARC
3. The contractor shall provide new license keys, as needed, to control the distribution of licensed products on customer machines. This is essential for migrating software or balancing workload accessibility.
4. The Contractor shall provide Product updates and version releases with documentation, release notes, and installation scripts.
5. The Contractor shall provide Product patches or fixes with documentation release notes, and installation scripts.
6. The Contractor shall provide Technical support for upgrades or migrating products listed in the maintenance agreement.
7. The Contractor shall provide Cross platform technical support for products listed in the maintenance agreement.
8. The Contractor shall provide Limited technical support for non-warranted or obsolete products listed in the maintenance agreement and some Open Source products, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 09:00 to 15:30 CST, except on US Government holidays.
