1. DELIVERY REQUIREMENTS

Delivery of the bridge cranes shall be in two parts, Delivery I and II, each with two sets of deadlines.

Delivery I : Delivery I will be composed of two bridge cranes and hoists: (1) each 3-ton, and (1) each 5-ton. For Delivery I, contractor shall submit design drawings to TAFB within 21 calendar days after award of contract for review and approval. After final approval of design drawings by

TAFB, contractor shall fabricate and delivery the first two bridge cranes and hoists within 45 calendar days.

Delivery II: Delivery II will be composed of the remaining six bridge cranes and hoists in contract. For Delivery II, contractor shall submit design drawings to TAFB within 21 calendar days after award of contract for review and approval. After final approval of design drawings by

TAFB, contractor shall fabricate and deliver the remaining bridges cranes and hoists with 70 calendar days.

2. TWO TON BRIDGE CRANE AND HOIST

The two ton electric crane with electric hoist and trolley must comply with applicable ASME bridge crane design, safety standards, National Electric Code, ANSI specification and MAA standards.

BRIDGE:

(4) each 2-Ton Rated Motorized Bridge Crane

Underhung single girder patented track bridge crane

To run on existing ACCO-Louden 605.1850 rail with 3.33 inch flange width

45 feet span between centerline of the rails, 5 feet and 6 inch overhang each end , 56 feet overall length

7’-3” wheelbase maximum overall length

Maximum 42 inch from runway tread line to saddle of hook at high hook

5000 pound maximum wheel load per pair

CMAA class service “ C” indoor use

5500 pound maximum bridge crane weight w/o hoist and trolley

Bridge to have VFD with micro speed enabled o Nominal bridge travel rate: 125 FPM o Maximum fine travel rate: between 2 and 4 FPM

Bridge to have inverter duty dual drive motor with brake, one per end truck o 440/480V 3Phase 60Hz, 115 Volt control circuit

Flat cable festoon system

Rubber bumpers on end trucks

(2) each HBC-Radiomatic Micron 7 radio remote control for each bridge crane o 3-motion 2-speed o Start button o Hoist A/B/A+B rotary selector switch o Crane East – Crane West o Hoist UP – Hoist Down o Trolley North – Trolley South o Micro speed enable switch o Red E-Stop button o Operator controlled warning horn o Operating and battery status display o Radio control with rechargeable batteries and chargers o Visual warning light activated with crane movement (flashing strobe light).

Vendor to provide interconnect schematics and ALL installation/service/repair manuals.

HOIST/TROLLEY:

(8) each 2-Ton Rated Hoist and Trolley “A” and “B” (2 per bridge crane)

(2) each 2 ton hoist with trolley on each 2 ton bridge crane

Hoist to have VFD with micro speed enabled o Nominal coarse travel rate: 14 FPM o Maximum fine travel rate: between 2 and 4 FPM in all directions

Cross mounted hoist (Hoist spools perpendicular to bridge)

Hoist and trolley to have inverter duty motors o 440/480V 3Ph 60Hz, 115 Volt control circuit

Maximum hoist and trolley weight: 900 pound

Trolley/Hoist “A” and Trolley/Hoist “B” to lift truly vertical within 4 feet of each other

Bumper extensions on trolley to prevent hoist from colliding

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

2-ton bridge will be rated as if one 2 ton capacity hoist/trolley were on the bridge, even though it will have 2 each two ton hoists mounted.

Current collector on new bridge crane must match with existing electrified conductors.

After contract award the government will be provided a drawing that is showing electrical conductor bar on existing rail.

Vendor shall provide initial drawings and specifications prior to any fabrication for engineer approval.

Vendor will provide final as-built drawings per ASME Y14.100.

Bridge must be labeled for load capacity on both sides.

Letters “A” and “B” label shall be placed to the hoist designation.

Bridge girder design to meet maximum vertical deflection not to exceed 1/600 of the span.

Crane shall meet or exceed the standard requirements of ANSI specification MH27.1 and

MMA.

A load test will be performed with 125% load rate and all hoists must pass this weight test.

Configuration of hoists, current collector shoe and festoon loops on new bridge cranes must match with existing bridge cranes. After contract award the government will be provided a drawing that is showing configuration of hoist “A”, hoist “B”, current collector shoes and festoon loops on bridge cranes.

No paint is required on rolling surface and hooks to avoid paint rubbed off steel surface as it is a potential cause for foreign object damage.

All running wheels shall be hardened wheel for greater wear resistnace.

The end truck to girder connection shall be bolted.

Minimum clearance of 4 inch overhead between top of existing louden rail flange and bridge crane (including components of the crane).

Maximum 30 inch hook approach each end of the bridge girder.

Crane will be painted yellow lead free alkyd enamel.

Bridge, trolley and hoist controls shall be mounted in NEMA type 3R enclosure.

Bridge cranes including hoist and trolley will be installed on existing rails by TAFB workforces.

3. THREE TON BRIDGE CRANE AND HOIST

The three ton electric crane with electric hoist and trolley must comply with applicable ASME bridge crane design, safety standards, National Electric Code, ANSI specification and MAA standards.

BRIDGE:

(3) each 3-Ton Rated Motorized Bridge Crane

Underhung single girder patented track bridge crane
