1. Stand Material to be aluminum
2. Special qualifications: I answered this already I think….PE license not required
3. Overall length: 52.5” (outer edge to outer edge)
4. Offset of the top of the Connect Stand at the front of the plane: I’m taking this to mean the vertical distance between the top surface of the front of the aircraft (along plane of over plane GR’s) and the surface of the stand? I got measured around 30-34” (AC height and stand height will vary)
5. Dimensions for contour rails? See Image below:
6. Offset for the other sliders: See image above (19.5”)
7. Length of the base of the stairs: 11’ (Length) x 27” (Width)
8. If the design of the sliders is to match the ones that currently exist, can we get pictures or drawings of these sliders so that we can bid properly for them? Alternatively, can we get a description of the design and materials currently used? The Sliders are Steel currently, but Aluminum material can be used and can hold appropriate weight for one personnel then that should be pursued, and the design should be of the same type as the current ones, in particular the traction tread type (not perforated). Lighter aluminum weight will allow the sliders to slide and manipulate.
9. What is the required range of motion of the sliders? Do they need to be able to completely retract into the 52" Deck? They need to extend the minimum range to fill in the offset distances as shown in the image above. They should also be able to retract completely into the deck.
10. Are there any other specific requirements of the sliders? Material? Method of retraction? Sliders should be able to moved by hand. For specific requirements, see answer in question 8.
11. If the sliders slide out from under the hard deck, there's going to be a level difference between hard deck and slider. Is there a maximum level difference that we need to stay under? Minimize gap while avoiding potential interference
12. Will the mechanics be using a crane to carry the load for the stands while the casters are removed?
Yes, just enough load taken off so the casters can be removed.
