1. The contractor is responsible for complete removal of the existing system. Following removal of the existing system, the contractor shall inform the engineer and they will contact our Defense Reutilization Marketing Office (DRMO) POC for assessment of the removed materials.
If a determination is made by the DRMO POC that the materials will be disposed by DRMO, the contractor shall deliver the materials to Building 506, which is less than 10 miles away from Building 3228.
If a determination is made by the DRMO POC that the materials will be NOT be disposed by DRMO, the contractor shall dispose the materials off-base IAW applicable federal, state, and local laws.
2. The contractor shall procure/rent any lifts that they will use during the removal and replacement phase of the project
3. All ceiling perforations by the contractor, during the removal and replacement phase of the project , shall be resealed following completion of all installation of the new system. There are no specific sealants requirement.
4. For projects of this nature, the Government typically provides as as-built facility drawings if they are available. For this particular project, the as-built drawings are no longer available.
