Combined Synopsis/Solicitation

FA8101‐16‐T‐0019

Q & A Response Sheet

1. Do the TV mounts need to be articulating, static, or either? Articulating means they are on an arm that can be moved away from the wall and turn to the side, where static just tilts a bit.

a. Articulating

2. Does the rack need to accommodate anything on top, such as having a flat top for a computer or laptop? And, does it need provision for installing a DVD or other media player in the future?

a. Yes, it needs a flat top and needs provisioning for a media player.

3. Do the speakers need to be mounted in the ceiling or can they be on the wall?

a. Actual flush mount in the ceiling is not required, they can be placed on the wall as long as it is toward the top of the wall and aesthetically pleasing.

4. Does the receiver need to have network connective capability for future expansion?

a. No

5. How many and what style inputs does the receiver require?

a. The receiver needs to have at least one input for a computer and one HDMI for a media player.

6. Does the receiver rack need to be wall mounted or can it be freestanding?

a. It can be free standing

7. What is the size of the room?

a. Approximately 22'x32'. TVs mounted on the 32' (south) end and the rack placed in the center of the 22' (west) wall.

8. What is the construction of the wall that will hold the TV mounts and (if needed) rack?

a. The wall has a hard cap above the suspended ceiling and the wall structure cannot be determined without removal of the sheet rock or drilling. It appears to be either solid concrete or cinder block construction, so adjust fastener needs to reflect this. The columns are made of 1/8” plywood with sheet rock covering and cannot be considered structural to hold 75” television sets with articulating brackets. There will need to be furring strips of current room‐like décor attached on either side to give a solid attachment base to the brackets. The exact design must be approved before installation by A&FRC personnel.

9. Is the requirement for commercial or consumer grade equipment?

a. Consumer grade will fulfill the requirements.

10. Does there need to be access control on the equipment?

a. This is not necessary.
