Questions & Answers – Revision 2 12 March 2018
Q1. Due to the number of products required, could you please extend the offeror due date to 16 March 2018?
Answer: Yes, solicitation has been extended to 1:00 pm EST on Friday, 16 March 2018.
Q2. In the attachment, there are websites, products and vendors identified. Are those the websites we must use to provide a quote?
Answer: No, those vendors & websites identified in attachment 1 are references only. Offerors may use any vendor/supplier that is available.
Q3. Can all these items be delivered at the same time or do they need to be delivered closest to the specified "required by dates?"
Answer: Yes, all items may be delivered at the same time but not later than the dates available.
Offeror’s must annotate the dates in the comments column.
Q4. What constitutes an "authorized, qualified, certified vendor?" We are registered in SAM, does that meet the criteria?
Answer: If an Offeror is registered in SAM and holds the NAICS code 326199 constitutes an authorized, qualified, certified vendor.
Q5. Is there an incumbent?
Answer: No.
Q6: If so, who are they and what was the winning bid, contract number and SOW?
Answer: There is no incumbent.
Q7: 6” metal stud and track 20 gauge is it dry wall or structural metal?
Answer: Dry Wall
Q8: Item 34, "22 Compartments and 4 screen partitions" Need detailed information as to type material, size, mounting method, number ADA compartments, hardware finish, etc. Detailed drawings and specifications or the redacted quote you received from Robert Brooke and Associates would help.
Answer: See Attachment 3, Drawing Sheet A-1; each latrine contains (1) ADA compliant toilet stall - all remaining stalls are standard (equally spaced) stalls for a total of 22 compartments and 4 screens.
Material Description is as follows -
Construction:
Doors, panels and pilaster shall be constructed of two sheets of panel flatness zinc coated galvanneal Steel ASTM A653 GR33.
Doors:
Shall be 25 mm or 1 inch thick with cover sheet not less than 0.8 mm.
Panels:
Shall be 25 mm thick with cover seats not less than 0.8 mm.
Pilasters:
Shall be 32 mm thick with cover sheet not less than 0.9 mm.
Headrail:
Shall be 25 mm x 41 mm extruded anodized aluminum with anti-grit design.
Wall thickness to be 1.5 mm and shall be securely attached to wall and pilaster with manufactures fittings in such a way as to make strong in rigid insulation. All joints in head rails shall be made at pilaster.
Finish:
All sheet metal to be cleaned, phosphated and finished with a high performance powder coating.
