STATEMENT OF WORK For:
CONSTRUCT CONCRETE SLABS FOR FIRE LANES AT BUILDING 1643
PROJECT # DDPM 15 0001
OVERVIEW:
Building 1643 does not currently have a fire lane surrounding the building for emergency vehicle access. Approximately 16,600 square feet (SF) of area located on the east and north sides of the building, in two separate zones, will need to be demolished/prepped and replaced with concrete. These concrete slabs will create an adequate fire lane for emergency access and also eliminate the Foreign Object Damage (FOD) hazard that currently exists.
SCOPE OF WORK:
All approvals and coordination for this scope of work shall be handled by the Contracting Officer (CO). The Contractor is to provide all equipment, material, and labor to perform the following scope of work to include the construction of a 306 cubic yard (CY) concrete pad at Zone 1, a 95 CY concrete pad at Zone 2, and the installation of 96 linear feet (LF) of 6” curbing on the east end of Zone 1 at B1643:
1. Building 1643 Main Pavement (Zone 1)
1.1 Demolish and remove 8,980 SF of existing 4” asphalt, 3,328 SF of vegetation and a 16” diameter tree in the area in the area designated for the new 8” concrete fire lane (See attached Zone 1 DEMO Plan drawing for exact breakdown of the area to be excavated).
1.2 The Contractor shall remove and discard the existing power pole guy wire that currently interferes with the path of the concrete fire lane. The Contractor shall install a new 25 foot high wood power pole approximately 15 feet further out from the existing guy wire near B1644 and the adjacent electrical transformer.
Install a new guy wire that runs from the existing wood power pole to the top of the newly installed 25’ power pole. Contractor shall verify the location of all underground utilities with the Government before any demolition or installation operations and ensure no utilities are damaged or altered.
