1. GENERAL _______________________________
A. This project consists of, but is not limited to the furnishing of all plant, labor, equipment, devices, tools, materials, transportation, supervision, and all miscellaneous requirements necessary to accomplish the work at the MEPS facility. All work shall be completed in conformance with applicable drawings, attached supplemental specifications, details and informational data.
B. The contractor shall install an underground drainage system to handle identified building downspouts and area surface water. The work shall also include the grading of the building site to allow for proper drainage.
C. See attached General Requirements for all Westover ARB specific requirements, rules and regulations.
2. SCOPE OF WORK ______________________________
A. The contractor must install subsurface perforated drainage pipe from identified downspouts.
B. The contractor will install a centrally located cast iron grate catch basin that receives the discharge from the down spout drainage pipe and surrounding surface water. The catch basin shall be perforated as well in order to maximize water removal by natural means.
C. An overflow pipe, non-perforated, will run from the newly installed catch basin to the existing storm water system identified on the attached drawings.
D. In order to maximize natural surface drainage potential, identified parking spots and sidewalks adjacent to the facility will be demolished. Construct new curb line and sidewalk away from the facility to allow for increased grass surface. See attached drawings for layout.
E. The contractor shall remove identified planting beds and landscaping adjacent to the facility to allow for proper drainage and ventilation. All trees utilized in the screening of the outside HVAC unit will be removed to include stumps.
F. The identified areas around the facility will be regraded for proper drainage. All disturbed areas will be hydro-seeded and watered until grass has been established.
G. Bring all splash blocks above grade and install drain extenders on down spouts as identified on the attached drawings.
H. Repair/reset sprinkler heads based on new grade from work performed.
I. Extend/expand sprinkler system to cover additional grass area from the removal of the parking spaces.
3. PHASES OF WORK ______________________________
