1.2.6.1. Due to new Turkish traffic and road policy, an Otomatik Geçis Sistemi (OGS) or Hizli Gecis Sistemi (HGS) is required on all toll roads. This device is an RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) sticker that is placed on the windshield of the vehicle and toll fees are deducted from the vehicle owner’s (contractor) OGS/HGS account when the vehicle passes through an OGS/HGS toll booth. Only the contracting officer may authorize a repair or any action that will obligate Government funds towards maintenance and repair. During this time, the daily lease rate of the vehicle requiring repair shall be deducted from the overall invoice for each 24-hour period the Government is without a vehicle.
