Warehouse Technician – Medical Material

Questions & Answers

1. Is this a new requirement or is there an incumbent?

This is a new requirement so there is not an incumbent.

2. If there is an incumbent, what is the name of the company and what was the award ed amount?

N/A

3. RE: PWS Para 1.6.2 Would the Government please clarify the statement ‘uninterrupted performance’? i.e. Does this refer to providing replacement personnel should the employee PCS or resign? If so, what is the replacement timeline required?

Yes, replacement timeline not to exceed 30 days of interrupted performance.

4. Would a backfill be required on this effort if the employee is out sick or on leave? If so, after what period of time if the employee is out sick? Is a backfill is required if the contractor is on leave?

Yes, if the contractor's illness or leave is projected to last longer than 30 days.

5. Is a candidate’s resume required?

Yes the bidding vendor has to request a resume.

6. RE: PWS 1.2 Duty 5 & 6: Is a forklift license required? If so, can it be obtained within 30 days after award?

Duties can be accomplished with walk behind forklifts that do not require a license. Additionally, we can provide forklift training/license within 30-days of employment. Contractors are authorized to operate forklifts as long as they are licensed.

7. RE: PWS 1.2 Duty 1: Is familiarity with Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) software required?

This is not required.

8. Is there information that you require or a format for the response….past performance or page limit?

No further information or past performance is required. Page limit does not apply.

9. Do you require a resume?

No – the bidding vendor should request a resume.

10. Can the person be a spouse of a military member or must the person be a German national?

Yes – it can be a spouse of a military member; it does not have to be a German national.

11. If they are a military member, can we assume that a US tax clause 252.229-7001, on pg 5, is not applicable?

Per DFAR 229.402-70, Alternate I of clause 252.229-7001 shall be used in solicitations and contracts when the contract will be performed in Germany.

12. Is the cost in US dollars or Euro?

You can bid in Euro or US dollar – whatever is preferred.

13. Some of the candidates are telling me they are having trouble getting an appointment before 18 Sept and their last exam doesn’t have Dr signature or a statement that they can lift 50 lbs. If the 52d Med Gp is their current PCM, can they provide an SSN, clinic assigned and PCM name as an alternate method of validating their health status?

The Technical Evaluation criteria has been amended to reflect the following veribage:

‘Certification of current physical examination – the offeror shall ensure, the candidates submitted will comply with the physical examination requirement. A medical certification of physical examination shall be provided the latest 30 days after contract award.’
