Answers to contractor’s questions 6 – 10 for Solicitation FA5606-16-R-0008:

18 Apr 16

Question 6: In order to properly price carpet to tile per unit we need better floor plans of unit Duplex 400R and Duplex 400L, because the Attachment 3 pages 7 and 8 are not legible, and 8 has also no rooms identified. Will the Government provide better floor plans on those?

Answer to Question 6: Legible floor plans for Duplex 400R and Duplex 400L will be posted with Amendment 3 and are called “Presentation 400A” and “Presentation 400B”. These newly uploaded floor plans clarify exactly where carpet, parquet or tiles are currently located.

This only replaces pages 7 and 8 from previous Attachment 3. All other floor plans in Attachment 3 remain as posted on 31 Mar 16.

Questions 7 to 10 are also specially in regards to Duplex 400R and Duplex 400L only.

Question 7: In order to properly price carpet to tile per unit we need clarification if "family rooms" are currently carpeted? If yes, are those to be included in the carpet to tile replacement?

Answer to Question 7: All rooms with carpet need to be replaced to tiles. See new floor plans.

Question 8: In order to properly price carpet to tile per unit we need clarification on the following: It is our assumption that 2nd floor rooms identified as utility rooms and bathrooms on provided floor plans, are tiled already and not to be included in the carpet to tile replacement. Is this assumption correct?

Answer to Question 8: Yes that is correct. See new floor plans.

Question 9: In order to properly price carpet to tile per unit we need clarification on the following: It is our assumption that 2nd floor dressing rooms (walk in closets) are carpeted and will be part of the carpet to tile replacement. Is this assumption correct?

Answer to Question 9: Yes, the walk in closets are part of the carpet to tile replacement.

Question 10: With amendment 01 the Government changed the estimated Qty on stairwells in attachment 6, price breakdown, to qty 60. We assume that we can make the same change on schedule B CLIN 0005 (to Est. Qty 60) and 1005, 2005, 3005, 4005 respectively, in order to complete the quantity change. Is our assumption correct?

Answer to Question 10: Yes, that is correct.
