Questions to FA5587-18-Q-0109

1) The removal of Old Shelving.

The specification you have set out for the Old Shelving has a couple of discrepencies, the Racks H-I are correct but there is 2No Single entry racks consisting of 2 bays of Bay type 4(Racks J & K on attached Drawing) and 1 Double entry Rack consisting of 5 bays of Bay Type 4 (Rack L on attached drawing). Will these need to be removed as well.

We need to keep Run H-I but will need to remove C-D, E-F, A-B, G, K, & J. L will not be removed.

2) As the New Adjustable Pallet Racking is a Guide Rail System are you wanting us to quote for the installation of the Guide Rails or will that be done by the Forklift Supplier.

The guide rail installation needs to be installed by the shelving vendor unless its industry standard for the forklift companies to install.

3) The pallet racking Beam levels are supplied with Open Boarded Timber Decking to support the Pallets on the beams. Do we include this in our price or show it as a separate cost.

If open Boarded Timber Decking is not required will you be needing Pallet Support Bars instead to support the Pallets on the beams.

Include the timber decking into the overall pricing and not as a separate item.

4) As Run A of the New Adjustable Pallet racking is a single face run would you require the back of this rack to have Anti-collapse Mesh to prevent any spillage of pallets into the Pedestrian Walkway behind it.

Anti-collapse Mesh is not part of the reqiurement.

5) Can you confirm that the new pallet racking required is standard static racking with adjustable beams? There is reference to ‘guided systems; ;electrical components’ – is this applicable to the new system required?

It is standard static racking with adjustable beams. Wire guided and rail guided refers to what forklifts the system works with. The shelving themselves shouldn't have any electrical components.
