FA5587-16-Q-0020 Library Shelving Site Visit Questions and Answers:

1) Can you provide a furniture and shelving list breakout by room?

Yes. The RFQ will be amended to reflect the requirement breakdown. However, the contractor can quote a different set-up if it meets the technical requirement according to the SOW.

2) What is the specific height for the IT partitions?

The current height is 380mm. However, a taller height partition would be preferred to allow more privacy between workstations that face each other. Additionally, it would be preferred to have each IT station separated from neighboring stations by partitions.

3) What are the desk and sitting requirements of the Young Adult room?

Currently, there are two chairs and a few sitting tables. It would be beneficial to have working computer stations with power supply bars to allow computers to be plugged in while working.

4) The current requirement for the 11 IT stations requires chairs. Do you want these chairs to be swivel or stationary?

The chairs for the 11 IT stations need to be swivel.

5) Are there any specific requirements for the DVD/media displays?

The current set-up utilizes shelving. If there is a design that allows for easier display and DVD storage/display expansion, then it would be preferred.

6) Are there any specific requirements for shelving locations?

The shelving cannot block any windows or fire exits.

7) What timeframe does the installation need to be completed?

After contract award, the contractor will coordinate with the library POC to set up the install. The library will close for 1 week.

8) Will the library have room to store all the boxed books on location?

Yes, the library POC can arrange this after award.

9) Do you require the chairs in the children’s area to be matching?

Yes. Matching child size chairs are required.

10) Are there any specific requirements with the display boards in the reception area?

The display area needs to allow for 100% visibility, which means no wood or metal paneled doors. If the case lifts up, it needs to have the ability to stay up on its own while one person adds or removes items.

11) Are there any specific requirements for the drop box?

The drop box should be spring loaded and allow for books and DVDs to be in returned in separate sizes.
